It has been forever since we have put anything up on the blog since we did very little traveling until mid 2021. But, finally we took off on a 6 week road trip that took us to the Eastern Sierras, The Grand Canyon, and southwestern Colorado. There will be several posts detailing our adventures but we wanted to get something up on the blog quickly as it has been so long since we posted. We decided to start with a fun tour of the The Ghost Town of Bodie which is located north of Mammoth Lakes in the heart of Mono County in the Eastern Sierras of California. It is undoubtedly one of the most legendary ghost towns in the Western U.S.

What I will say is Bodie is a look at a real-life ghost town. What you see today is a mere shadow of what was once a thriving gold-mining town in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The town has been kept in a state that has not been restored, but has been maintained to prevent further deterioration.
